Good afternoon, a hot afternoon in Dubai after a lovely day in Sharjah yesterday. Peter Della Penna covering USA live for USA's last match in Dubai against Hong Kong. The winner will finish in 11th place. It's been a down and up trip for the USA squad and they'll look to make it three wins in a row to round out the event if they can beat Hong Kong today.

USA has made one change to the XI. Nauman Mustafa is out and Japen Patel is back in. Andy Mohammed and Asif Khan are the other two players missing out.

 Irfan Ahmed and Waqas Barkat walk out to open for Hong Kong. Ahmed to start on strike. He's one of the leading scorers in this tournament. Man of the Match in yesterday's win over Uganda. Usman Shuja to open the bowling for USA from the Media End, right arm fast medium over the stumps to the right hander Ahmed.

Dot, good length on the stumps, prodded down the wicket and Shuja dives to field in his follow through. Two, full outside off, goes to drive and slices a thick edge over point, the backspin takes it to Hutchinson at third man, he has to run to his right to cut it off and can't stop the second.  Muhammad Ghous bowling off spin over the stumps to open from the Desert End, facing Waqas Barkat, right hand bat. Dot, full and driven to cover. FOUR! Fullish on the stumps, steps down the track and awkwardly drives it over the bowler to the rope. FOUR! Full outside off, goes to lift him over mid off and slices it between point and short third man, not very convincing so far but two boundaries nonetheless. OUT! There it is, Ghous is rewarded for continuing to pitch it up. Barkat walked across his stumps and tried to play a paddle sweep but misses, bowled behind his legs. Barkat out for 8. HK 10/1 in 1.4 overs. Jamie Atkinson, the young captain, comes to the wicket. Wide, quick and short, down the leg side. Leg bye, quick on the legs again, off the pads to fine leg. Dot, full and defended confidently on the front foot. HK 12/1 in 2.

 Shuja to Atkinson. FOUR! Short on the legs, a short arm jab pull goes straight to Rajp at short fine leg in the circle but he misfields it badly, through his legs and it races to the rope. Leg bye, short on the legs, goes to pull and misses, off the thigh guard and the ball ricochets to third man. FOUR! Short on the stumps, Ahmed is onto it in a flash and pulls cleanly along the ground through midwicket. Single, short again, doesn't time the pull this time and bottom edges it through square leg. Two, short again, pulled hard through square leg, Ghous runs to his left along the boundary and makes a good diving stop to save a boundary. EDGE! FOUR! After a series of short stuff, Shuja pitches it up and Atkinson drives, gets an edge that flies to Taylor's right behind the stumps, would have gone to a second slip, but no one in the cordon and that flies away to the rope.  Ghous to Ahmed. Dot, full and defended. Dot, full and pushes to Ghous. Two, full on the legs, clipped behind square and deep midwicket has some work to do to stop it. Single, good length on the legs, tucked behind square. Dot, full and defended to midwicket. Dot, full and defended to midwicket. HK 31/1 in 4.

 Ryan Corns comes on to replace Shuja from the Media/Academy End, left arm spin over the stumps to Ahmed. Single, low full toss driven to mid off. Dot, full on the pads, goes to sweep and misses. FOUR! Full on the legs again, this time he connects with the sweep and it goes hard over square leg. Leg bye, goes for another sweep, misses and it goes off the pads to Hutchinson at short third man who is slow to react and they snag a run. FOUR! Full outside off, Ahmed skips down the track and drives elegantly and powerfully over mid off. Dot, full and defended. HK 41/1 in 5.

 Abhimanyu Rajp comes on to replace Ghous from the Desert End, off spin over the stumps to Atkinson. Leg bye, good length ball on the pads, goes to pull and misses, down leg side and it's stopped by Shuja at fine leg. Wide, full and down leg. Dot, short and wide, goes to cut, extra bounce and is late. Two, full on the stumps, lofted to long on, Hutchinson dives to stop. Dot, full and defended. Single, full and wide, guided to short third man. FOUR! Full on the legs, Atkinson likes the sweep and connects to send it high behind square leg. HK 50/1 in 6.

 Corns to Ahmed. DROPPED! FOUR! Full on the stumps, Ahmed skips down and hits it flat to long on, Patel runs in late and dives, two hands to it but it bursts through and bounces over the rope. If he reacted a little quicker he may have go to it sooner and wouldn't have needed to dive. Ahmed dropped on 18, moves to 22. Dot, full and driven back to Corns. Single. Single, full and swept to deep square leg. OUT! The drop only costs 5 runs. Corns flights it but drags back the length slightly and bowls it a little wider too. Ahmed came down the track, was beaten badly in flight, went to slog anyway and missed. Taylor gathers for a simple stumping. Ahmed out for 23. HK 56/2 in 6.5 overs. Nizakat Khan the new man in.  Rajp to Nizakat Khan. Single, full and driven to the cover sweeper. Around the stumps now to Atkinson. FOUR! Full on the legs, sweeps hard and splits deep midwicket and deep square leg. He's killing them with that shot. Dot, full outside off, defended to Rajp. Single, full on the legs, swept fine to short fine leg. Single, full and driven to long off. FOUR! Waist high full toss on the legs, thrashes a pull behind square. HK 68/2 in 8. Atkinson on 28, 24 of the runs have come in boundaries.

 Japen Patel replaces Corns from the Media/Academy End, facing Nizakat Khan. FOUR! Full on the legs, flicked in the air over midwicket with ease. Single, full and lofted short of long off. FOUR! Short on the legs, pulled fine behind square. Patel got blasted against Kenya in his only over that match, not faring much better here. FOUR! Full outside off, driven square behind point. FOUR! Short on the legs, flicked off the hips to fine leg, Rajp slides on the rope but can't stop it. Patel is bowling all over the place here, no consistency.  Rajp to Nizakat Khan. Single, full and stroked to long off. FOUR! Full on the legs, another sweep behind square, another four. USA's bowlers are not challenging him to do anything different. Rajp decides to come back over the wicket now. Dot, full and wide, backs away for a square cut and misses. Dot, short on the stumps, punched off the back foot back to Rajp. Single, short on the legs, pulled wide of midwicket toward long on, Hutchinson does well to cut it to one. Dot, full and clipped to midwicket. HK 91/2 in 10. 190 is within reach on this small ground as long as Atkinson stays at the crease.

 Orlando Baker replaces Patel from the Media/Academy End, bowling right arm medium with Taylor up to the stumps, facing Atkinson. Dot, short outside off, cut to point. Single, good length on the stumps, punched off the back foot to long on. DROPPED! Short outside off, Khan slices it straight to Nadkarni at backward point, he didn't have to move, reaches up with two hands and parries it over his head. Should have been taken. They get a run. Khan dropped on 9, goes to 10. Single, full and guided to short third man. Dot, short outside off, goes to cut, misses. Single, full and pushed into the covers. Baker's golden arm creates a partnership breaking chance, but Nadkarni can't make the catch. HK 95/2 in 11.

 Rajp to Khan. DROPPED! FOUR! Not really fair to call that a drop but I will. It was full outside off, he went to drive, got a thick edge that flew toward Corns at backward point. He leaped to his right and got a hand to it, but it didn't stick, ricocheted off his hands and went to the third man rope. Would have been a miracle had that stuck for a catch. Khan moves to 15. Dot, full and bottom edged into Taylor's pads. SIX! Skips down the track, Khan heaves this a mile over the sightscreen and the ball is gone goodbye. The third umpire comes out to deliver a new one. Two, full on the stumps, flicked through midwicket. Dot, full and driven to Rajp. Single, short on the legs, clipped behind square. HK 108/2 in 12.

 Baker to Khan. Dot, good length ball hit back to Baker. The partnership is now at 52 between these two. Dot, good length ball stroked to cover. Single, full and pushed into the leg side, Baker chases it down, there's no one in the circle on the leg side. Two, good length on the legs, flicked over square leg, Patel races around the rope from midwicket for a solid diving stop to save a boundary. Atkinson on 49.
