USA assistant coach (and former head coach) Clayton Lambert was not on the field during warmups. According to a source, he went home yesterday. It's not known why he went home. New York Region board member and USACA Cricket Committee chairman Krish Prasad is here today as is USACA President Gladstone Dainty.

With Bermuda's win over Cayman Islands earlier, both Bermuda and USA have clinched the two berths from the Americas for the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier next year in the UAE. But this game and tomorrow's match between USA and Bermuda will be important from a seeding standpoint.

USA has taken the field in their blue uniforms with red trim and white numbers and letters. The USA players are wearing whatever hat they can find. Canad's openers are finally making their way out. Khushroo Wadia and Jason Sandher with Sandher on strike, right handed. Usman Shuja to open from the Pavilion End, right arm fast medium. Dot, good length ball on off stump, guided to point. FOUR! Short outside off, slashed high in the air toward Ghous at the third man boundary, he puts forward a pathetic effort and the ball drops in front of him before bouncing past him for four. Should have been at least a catching opportunity but he never got a hand to the ball. It's 5:30 pm and he's still sleeping. Dot. Dot, full outside off and driven to cover. Dot, short of a length and defended to cover. Two, full outside off and driven firmly through the covers. Canada 6/0 in 1.

@cricke8 Crowds have been 25-50 people if that each day.

Timroy Allen to open from the Pavilion End, right arm fast medium to Wadia, right hand bat. One slip in place. Five wides, short ball down leg side, Dodson dove but couldn't get a hand on it. Allen now goes around the wicket after starting over the stumps. Dot, good length on the stumps, defended to Massiah at midwicket. Dot, full on the stumps, defended to the bowler. Third man and deep square leg the men on the rope. Single, full on off, pushed firmly to George's left at mid off. Dot, short of a length outside off, Sandher goes to cut and nearly chops onto his stumps before the ball bounces through to Dodson. Dot, short and a little wide, Sandher misses the ball completely this time on another attempted cut. Single, short of a length on off stump, opens the face and runs it to third man.  Canada 13/0 in 2.

Shuja to Wadia. FOUR! Short on the stumps, Wadia takes him on with a crunching pull shot past mid on. FOUR! Full on the stumps, driven in the air past Shuja and Mishra at mid off and it flies away. No ball and FOUR! Attempted slower ball winds up as a chest high full toss that Wadia crushes over midwicket. FOUR! Overpitched on the legs, Wadia flicks it between square leg and fine leg and it just gets to the rope. Dot, pitched on a fullish length on the stumps, Wadia plays across and misses, big LBW shout denied, looked to be missing leg. FOUR! Full on the legs, flicked past Baker and the square leg umpire and Wadia is devastating Shuja and USA right now. Baker stays out at deep square now. Single, full on the legs, clipped to Baker at deep square. 22 from the over all by Wadia. Canada 46/0 in 5. Wadia 28, Sandher 12.
