New England are 39 for 2, slow going after 10 overs. Wet outfield and a couple of maidens, one by Jermaine Lawson and the other by Sid Mehta applying the brakes on New England. Mehta was particularly effective with his 3 overs yielding 2 for 13 getting slugger Sharaz Baksh (17) and Bonner (12). Timmy Thomas and Fazal Alam are doing their bit to accelerate the run-machine. The 13th over by Deryck McDonald turning out good for New England. Timmy just sent a six into the orbit, the ball sailing into Watsessing #1 over long on. Fazal then followed with the same shot. Both landing near the pitch of the adjacent field - a good 110 yards away. Now 72 after 13 overs.

Srinivas Santhanam has scored the second half century of the tournament for Atlantic All-Stars. He opened the innings with Cameron Mirza and put on a 57 run stand before Mirza was run out. Santhanam was out bizarre fashion on the last ball of the innings, hit wicket going for a big heave for 74. Atlantic finishes 150/7 in 20 overs against Washington. The winner goes on to the semis. The loser goes home.

In the chase at Watsessing #1, the young Washington Senators have lost three quick wickets needing 151 to win. The Atlantic All-Stars opened with Rushi Amin in his spin-avatar. Getting a wicket in his third ball. Paceman Nauman Iftikhar took a wicket in his third ball. Then followed it up with another in the fifth delivery. Washington reeling on 4 for 3. Fantastic start for Atlantic after a first round loss yesterday.

Chasing 130 to win Global NJ Daredevils are reeling owing to a fantastic and crippling opening spell by Deigo Hanson matched by laser like fielding inflicting two sharp run outs. Deigo effected one of the runouts and took part in a caught and bowled. NJ are 36 for 3 after 6 overs.

Nanda Sandilya, the Hyderabad Ranji off-spinner getting a wicket off his very first ball and then another - now Washington have lost their fifth wicket in the same over. The young and inexperienced Washington are in a mess with just 21 for 5 at the end of the seventh over. The stranglehold is getting stronger.

The senators get a massive election year drubbing against the Atlantic - 56 all out! Losing by a massive 94 run margin! Srinivasa with 74 looking like a clearcut choice for Man of the Match. Jaymin Goswami cleaned up the tail in a short but effective spell accounting for three wickets.
