Hopefully today.  We have been waiting on ground availability confirmations.

Here is the playoff matchup....This year the results are so predictable that a lot of time can be saved by simply skipping all games and holding the finals between CUBS and Metroplex.  While couple of results may go either way (Hindustani vs Eagles and C'ton vs GPCC), it won't change the final out come. Cubs and Metroplex are destined to meet in the finals.

 My Predictions: Ismailia, Cubs, Carroltton, Metroplex, Googs, GPCC, United and Hindustani  (or Eagles) will advance to Qtr finals. Then Hindustani (Eagles), Cubs, GPCC (C'ton) and Metroplex to semi finals and Cubs/Metroplex in finals.

 

You are in for some surprises my friend.......Remember IPL.  Did anybody pick dark horse (RR)?  Most were predicting the teams with high loaded international stars to win.

Anyways.....there has been pretty interesting games in the knockouts.  Watch out for United (crossed 200 twice), GPCC (beat almost everyone comprehensively), FWL, Hindustani, Carrolton, Ismailia.  I have a feeling that there is an upset waiting this weekend.

This will be a wonderful and exciting tournament.  The pressure is on now as your next game could be your last.  The beauty of 20-20 is that one person can change the complexion of the entire game.

There are some very exciting players to watch in this tournamant. Players like Tanvir, Abdullah, Waqar, Moazzam, Keyur, Jay Desai, Fasih, Kashif are all well known, but dont count out guys like Malay, Ayaz sheikh,  Amol etc.  There are many match winners out there and they are all equally dangerous.

For GPCC's sake, I hope that we can maintain the form our entire team is in right now and carry it through.  This is the time when the previous record is wiped clean and we have to prove ourselves again.

By the way, can the teams continue to share players within club during playoffs ?  If yes, then (hypothetically) same 11  players can play  both the morning  and afternoon game if two teams from the same club are playing at the same exact ground.  This could turn a 'home ground advantage' into a disadvantage for the team facing the best of 22 from the opposing club. Not to mention all the substitute fielders switching in and out.

though there is no player protection for this event, the executives had passed on a note to all the captains that any abuse will not be tolerated.  Hopefully teams will use good judgment.

If there is no stated rule then it doesn't make sense for the executives to say it won't be tolerated. In my opinion if you have entered two or more teams in the tournament then protected player rule must be enforced.

Don't worry Duryodhan,  NTCA playoff scheduler has already thought about this and arranged so teams within the same club has matches at the same time so same player cannot play for both teams on the same day. Multiple teams within same club will have all their matches either in the morning or all matches in the afternoon so the players cannot run from one match to the other.
 

well Imran, why then has the NTCA scheduler scheduled Nortex games in the morning and afternoon? Nortex stars and patriots have games in the morning and afternoon.

What if there is raining this weekend, that means we have to play next saturday and some people will easily play in multiple teams. I think in playoff a player should play only for 1 team ( like winter cup). Holefully NTCA will change rules in order to make playoff more exciting.
