Brilliant fight back from Metroplex saw DCC in total disarray.
The game started with Keyur Patel's blistering attack and ended with keyur Patels brilliant slow spinners that totally bamboozled the DCC batsmen.
After Keyer's initial burst, it was all Jai Desai who scored an excellent 50 to take Metroplex to a score of 176 in 20 overs.
DCC in reply lost Iqbal to a run out off the first ball but then Orlando Baker and Adil Malik played some great shots to take the stuffing out of the opposition. They took DCC to within 38 runs of victory with 6 overs remaining when Kashyap Desai took an absolutely fantastic catch diving forward at Longon. The catch just epitomised the great fielding display of Metroplex who in my opinion have not only some of the best fielders in NTCA but also some of the best throwing arms.
From then on the DCC batsmen came and went displayed some dreadful shot selection with just over a run a ball required. Metroplex however deserve full credit for the way they hung on and didnt give up. In the last over 16 were required for victory and Vishwa Rajput playing his last game in NTCA(moving back to India in a week) scored 11 runs off 3 balls. The climate was tense with 5 reqd off 3 balls but the great send off for Vish was not to be as Patil Patel bowled Vish and that was the last wicket.
Great game. Very emotional game. On the field the game was played in great spirits.
PS - Hasu chacha is simply the best 50 year old player i have seen
