Re: 2012 ICC WCL Division Four Live Updates - USA vs. Denmark
It's a bit overcast here at the ground. There was some overnight rain and the pitch looks like it has some grass left on it in addition to the moisture from the morning dew. It looks like a win the toss and field day. This was the ground yesterday where Singapore was rolled over for 111 batting first. Most of their batsmen were caught behind the wicket, with three catches going to the keeper and several more taken in the slips according to those here yesterday.

USA has won the toss and indeed they will bowl first. Looked like a straightforward choice based on the conditions. Starting XI's to come shortly.

Re: 2012 ICC WCL Division Four Live Updates - USA vs. Denmark
Denmark XI: Michael Pedersen (captain), Carsten Pedersen (wk), Aftab Ahmed, Shehzad Ahmed, Chawla, Hansen, Klokker, Lambert, Mahmood, Bashir Shah, Slebsager. Freddie Klokker, Denmark's lone professional player, just arrived into KL last night and is slotted straight into Denmark's starting XI after missing yesterday's win over Tanzania. He scored a century vs. USA in the 5th place game in Hong Kong last year at Division Three.

The cricket organizers and grounds here act in the most traditional ways. A bell has just been rung for the 5-minute warning, as was the case yesterday at Bayuemas Oval. The umpires are walking out to the middle.

Re: 2012 ICC WCL Division Four Live Updates - USA vs. Denmark
Freddie Klokker and Shehzad Ahmed walk out to open for Denmark. Klokker will begin on strike, right hand bat. Timroy Allen to open the bowling from the South End, right arm fast medium over the stumps to Klokker, two slips and a gully in place. Single, short of a length on the legs, clipped to long leg. Third man the other man out on the boundary. Ahmed takes guard right handed. Dot, bouncer gets Ahmed in the gloves and the ball goes toward point. Leg bye, short ball on the body, misses a flick and it goes off the hip to long leg. Leg bye, another short ball on the legs, off the thigh again to square leg. Single, good length ball, edged just short of Mishra at second slip, didn't come close to carrying and it ricochets off him past gully and they take a run. Leg bye, good length ball on the legs, misses the flick again, off the pads to square leg. Just two off the bat but five in the over. Denmark 5/0 in 1.

Re: 2012 ICC WCL Division Four Live Updates - USA vs. Denmark
Usman Shuja takes over new ball duties from Elmore Hutchinson today, right arm fast medium to Klokker over the stumps. Dot, full length ball left outside off. Dot, good length ball, Klokker takes a few steps down the track then defends to point. Dot, fullish length ball, sucks Klokker into a drive, beaten and the ball swings in to Taylor who dives to his left to take. Dot, good length ball left outside off. Dot, short of a length outside off, Klokker goes to defend on the back foot and is beaten. Dot, short of a length left outside off, Taylor collects at his ankles. He's been standing too far back to both bowlers here. Maiden. Denmark 5/0 in 2.

Re: 2012 ICC WCL Division Four Live Updates - USA vs. Denmark
Allen to S. Ahmed. Dot, good length ball, left outside off and carries through to Taylor at head height. Dot, full length ball, goes to defend and is beaten, Taylor takes at his ankles again. Dot, full on the stumps, driven to Hutchinson at mid off. Dot, short of a length ball defended to the bowler. Dot, good length ball left alone. Wide, short outside off, way outside off actually, given as an extra, spoils a would-be maiden. Three, full outside off, driven square in front of Rajp at point, the field slopes down toward the boundary and the ball keeps going until he slides to grab it just inside the rope. Denmark 9/0 in 3.

Shuja to S Ahmed. Dot, full outside of, goes for a flat footed drive and is beaten. Single, full outside off, edged with soft hands past Massiah at gully and it goes to third man. Dot, good length ball left outside off. Dot, knee high full toss outside off, Klokker must have not read it out of the hand because he missed it badly. Dot, good length ball swings in as Klokker shoulders arms, the slips and Taylor got excited on that one. Dot, fullish length, driven to mid off. Denmark 10/0 in 4.

Allen to S Ahmed. Wide, full and down leg, well stopped by Taylor. Dot, fullish length ball inside edged off the pads before it rolls to second slip. Dot, full and wide, driven square to Rajp at point. Single, short on the body, Ahmed gives a short arm jab pull along the ground to long leg. Dot, good length ball left alone. Dot, short ball defended to square leg. Dot, another short ball on the body, Klokker mistimes a pull and the ball dribbles to square leg. Denmark 12/0 in 5.

Re: 2012 ICC WCL Division Four Live Updates - USA vs. Denmark
Shuja to S Ahmed. Dot, full length ball left outside off. Single, good length ball prodded into the covers, no one fielding between point and mid off so an easy run there. Dot, full and defended to Shuja. Dot, good length ball left outside off. Klokker isn't scoring, but USA isn't making him play an awful lot here to try to get his wicket. Dot, low full toss outside off driven to mid off. FOUR! Full outside off, driven on the up through the covers for Denmark's first boundary of the day to end the sixth over. Denmark 17/0 in 6.

Re: 2012 ICC WCL Division Four Live Updates - USA vs. Denmark
Elmore Hutchinson replaces Allen from the South End, left arm fast medium around the stumps to S Ahmed. Two wides, full and down leg, Taylor with a lazy effort to try and stop it and it has to be corraled at long leg by Shuja. Dot, full and swinging into the pads, Klokker can't flick it away. Dot, short of a length outside off, lets it go through to Taylor. Dot, full on the stumps, driven to mid on where Thyagarajan dives to his right to prevent four. Leg bye, short of a length into the ribs, can't flick it away and the ball goes off Klokker toward silly point. Dot, full on the stumps, defended on the back foot by Ahmed. Dot, short of a length ball, beats the outside edge on a back foot prod, one of the first times USA has looked like taking a wicket today. Denmark 20/0 in 7.

Re: 2012 ICC WCL Division Four Live Updates - USA vs. Denmark
Shuja to Klokker. Dot, full and defended to point. Single, full and squeezed out toward point softly enough to scamper a run. Wide, good length and well outside off. Single, knee high full toss driven straight to Baker at mid off, he bobbles or else they might have had a chance to run out Ahmed. Dot, full length ball strikes the pads, Klokker was well forward, not out says the umpire. Dot, full length ball left alone. Dot, full on the pads, misses the flick, goes off the pads to Taylor's left and he makes a solid diving stop. Denmark 23/0 in 8.
