Driving up/down the E11 is quite an experience. Especially if you get a particularly, umm, excitable, local taxi driver. I think they had a pile up last year that was some 150 cars. It's a pretty nice stadium. Hope the cricket matches it. Definitely possible to win this game, and it would be a very creditable victory if it happens.

If we can just avoid losing an early wicket and get a couple of over head-start, it would make a world of difference. Good luck!

Re: 2012 ICC World T20 Qualifier Live Updates: USA vs. Kenya

Steven Taylor and Sushil Nadkarni begin their walk out to the middle. Kenya has taken the field as well. Looking down below at the field, Japen Patel is padded up and he also has a shirt to call his own now instead of borrowing Charlie Javed's. Patel will be wearing 28 for the rest of the tournament.

Taylor on strike to start, facing Nehemiah Odhiambo, right arm fast medium over the wicket. Dot, good length ball left outside off. There's a slip in place. Dot, good length ball defended to point. OUT! Full and nips back, Taylor misses and is clean bowled. Third ball duck. USA 0/1 in 0.3 overs. Andy Mohammed comes in at number three, only his second appearance this tournament, scored 18 not out against Namibia. A second slip now comes in. Dot, full outside off, goes to drive and misses. Dot, good length ball defended to cover. Dot, short of a length on the stumps, defended awkwardly to cover. Wicket maiden for Odhiambo to start. USA 0/1 in 1.

Elijah Otieno to open from the Media End, right arm medium with two slips in for Nadkarni, facing his first ball. Dot, good length outside off and left. Single, good length ball knocked down in front of point. Dot, good length ball angles across the lefty and beats the outside edge defending. Two, full on the stumps, swings hard and clips it behind square leg, trickles just short of the rope, Nadkarni wasn't exactly busting it and they settle for two. Dot, short and wide, cut straight to point. Dot, fullish outside off, pushes tamely at it and is beaten. USA 3/1 in 2.

Nehemiah Odhiambo bowling to Nadkarni for the first time, over the wicket. Two, full on the legs, clipped through midwicket but not timed well. Dot, full and defended to the on side. SIX! Hello! Full outside off, Nadkarni creams it way over mid off and it bounces into the pitch roller past the rope. DROPPED! Short on the body this time, Nadkarni is hurried and top edges a hook over square leg, the fielder Shem Ngoche waltzes backward and spills a straightforward chance, then kicks the ball further away to allow a second run. Nadkarni dropped on 9. Wide, short outside off, goes to cut and misses, but out of reach. Single. Dot. USA 15/1 in 3.

Otieno to Nadkarni. Wide, full and way outside off, the keeper does well to latch onto it. Dot, full outside off and left. Dot, short of a length with some width, goes to cut but picks out the man at point. Dot, good length angling across, left alone, could have been given as a wide but the umpire says it's legal. Single, good length ball on off stump, opens the face and runs it to third man. Wide, full and very wide, Mohammed goes hard at it but it's too far and another bonus run added to USA's total. Single, full and on the stumps, pushes it past cover and wide of mid off for an easy run. Dot, full and wide, left alone. USA 19/1 in 4.

Nehemiah Odhiambo to Mohammed. Dot, short outside off, Mohammed throws the bat at it and is beaten for pace. One slip still in place. Dot, good length ball on the stumps, pushed toward cover. Odhiambo is bowling with solid pace here, Mohammed is struggling to get him away. OUT! Mohammed tries backing away and it's a slower ball that is shoveled high over point and the fielder Obando backpedals to take a simple catch just beyond the circle. Mohammed out for 3, USA 19/2 in 4.3 overs. Nadkarni crossed with the ball in the air. Orlando Baker comes in off strike with a floppy hat on. Dot, short on off stump, Nadkarni leans back to cut and is beaten. Dot, full on the stumps, driven to mid on. Four leg byes, full, almost yorker length on the legs, Nadkarni misses the flick, LBW shout but the umpire ignores it as the ball skittles to the fine leg rope. Wicket maiden for Odhiambo, his second such over. USA 23/2 in 5.

Ragheb Aga on to bowl medium pace to Baker over the wicket. EDGED! FOUR! Good length ball on the stumps, Baker comes forward to defend and gets a thick edge to the right of first slip, who dives in vain. Would have gone straight into the lap of second slip had one been in place and now the captain Obuya moves a fielder there after the horse has bolted. Dot, full and defended. Single, good length ball guided to third man. Around the wicket to Nadkarni. Dot, good length ball swinging into the body, gets Nadkarni high on the thigh pad and dribbles to first slip. FOUR! Full and swinging into the legs, thin edge clipped fine, the bowler appealed for LBW but the umpire says it's four off the bat. Single, short and guided to third man. USA 33/2 in 6.

Nehemiah to finish his spell, facing Nadkarni. Dot, bouncer and Nadkarni shaped to hook, then remembered what happened the last time he tried that on Odhiambo and pulls out of the shot. Single, full and straight, pushed into the off side. Dot, short and wide, Baker goes to cut but can't catch up. Odhiambo is humming with pace here. Dot, short on off stump, Baker gets on his toes to guide it to third man. Wide, attempted slower ball lands well outside off, signaled wide. Wide, full and way down leg, outstanding dive from the keeper David Obuya to prevent five wides. Single, short on the body, Nadkarni does well this time to get inside the line, rolls his wrists over and hook it safely behind square. Dot, full and driven to mid off. Solid spell from Odhiambo ends, 4-2-17-2. USA 38/2 in 7.

Aga to Nadkarni. Dot, good length ball on the stumps, defended to the bowler. Dot, good length ball swinging into the legs, can't get it away. Single, full on off stump, pushed behind point and they take the fielder on for a sharp run but he fumbles it badly and they get through safe. Slip is still in place. One of the four men in the circle. Dot, good length ball defended. Two, short on the body, a short arm jab pull tucks it behind square and they run hard for the second to beat the throw fro long leg. OUT! Full on the legs, Baker flicks it nonchalantly high in the air, never had a chance to clear the ropes, the fielder Shem Ngoche, who badly spilled Nadkarni earlier, takes a simple catch 15 yards in from the rope at head height. Baker out for 8, USA 41/3 in 8.

Now the other Odhiambo, Nelson enters the attack, facing Japen Patel, the new man in as Nadkarni crossed with the ball in the air on the last ball of the over. Slip still in place. Dot, full outside off, goes to drive and is beaten. FOUR! Good length on the legs, flicked wristily behind square and it beats deep midwicket to the rope. OUT! Good length ball, Patel went to drive, nowhere near full enough for the shot, no foot movement either, a healthy edge goes to the keeper's right. Patel out for 4 in 3 balls. USA 45/4 in 8.3 overs. Ryan Corns the new man in. Dot, good length ball left outside off. Dot, full and driven to cover. Five men in the circle including slip. Single, full and guided to third man. USA 46/4 in 9.

Duncan Allan on the bowl, right arm medium to Corns with the keeper David Obuya up to the stumps. Slip is finally gone. Wide, short and down leg. Dot, full and driven to cover. Two wides, good length ball well outside off, Obuya gets a glove on it but can't gather it fully and it ricochets to third man, they switch strike. Seems like forever since Nadkarni faced a ball. Dot, full and driven to midwicket. FOUR! Full on the stumps, Nadkarni winds up and swings big, straight down the ground, long on is too wide to cut that off. Dot, short and wide, Nadkarni tries to dab it to third man and misses. Single, same ball, this time he succeeds with the shot running the ball to third man. OUT! Fullish length outside off, Corns came forward to push it into the off side, left a huge gap between bat and pad and the ball sneaks through to castle him Corns out for 1, USA 54/5 in 10.
