    Under-19 trials. Details

It was a very cloudy and humid morning. The Dallas boys reported to the Lonestar field at 9:15 for some fielding practice. Later on, from Colorado Mr. Don Ruparel also reported to the field with one contender and from Austin Zafar Musharraf. The game started around 11:00, since the Houston players got lost on the way to the field. The Coaches discussed and made two squads of 13 men. Team A; Imran Samsair*, Kartik Vittala, Walid Ahmed, Sunny Bhakta, Raj Patel, Dharham Patel+, Jawad Hashmi, Parth Bhakta, Shamil Patel, Mayank Piplani, Zafar Musharraf, Drew, Rodney. On the other side there was Team B; Chirag Bhakta*, Parthiv Bhakta, Mohammad Hashir, Shalin Naik, Nital Patel, Mahran Abbasi, Fawad Ahmed, Viral Bhakta, Javaid Mujtaba+, Arpit Bhakta, Pritesh Bhakta, (unknown), (unknown). Every bowler was limited to only 3 overs and so were the batsman.Chirag won the toss and chose to field. Zaffar and Imran opened in batting. Chirag and Nital opened bowling Chirag bowled the first over witha few runs being scored, the wind was against the bowlers but the ball was moving very un-usually. Few overs later Imran lost his wicket on a very un-usual bold. Dharham went in next and made some quick runs, Dharham was also dismissed witha great catch by Shalin Naik. Batsmen were going and coming, but one batsmen was in there for a while, Shamil Patel seemed non stop with his beautiful batting, Shamil was stumped at Javaid's Mujatab's ball. Shamil Patel was the highest scorer for A team. A team set a target of 162, off which 46 were extras.

Wicket Takers: Chirag Bhakta, Nital Patel, Parthiv Bhakta, Javaid Mujtaba, Mohammad Hashir, Viral Bhakta

Hashir and Parthiv opened for Team B. Walid and Jawad opened bowling for A. Hashir was bold on the second delivery of the game, with and inswinging delivery, first four wickets for team B were lost in the first four overs, the target lookedimpossible for them to reach. With Nital and Chirag in, it felt like they had some boost, Nital was taken out on a very spectacular delivery by Mayank Piplani, Zafar was first change and his first over wasn't his best, with some good shots by chirag it looked that team B had some hope left but that was also gone with a LBW from Sunny Bhakta. Parth Bhakta was in for some spin and spin he did, taking 2 wickets, and Imran Samsir picking up 3 wickets.Team A won by 60 odd runs

Wicket Takers: Jawad Hashmi, Walid Ahmed, Parth Bhakta, Sunny Bhakta, Imran Samsair, Rodney, Mayank Piplani.
