For the third year running, DreamCricket.com has produced a tournament featuring some of the best talent in the New York/New Jersey area as well as some outstanding talent from around the country. This year’s Twenty20 event, title-sponsored once again by Radiant Info, saw some outstanding performances over the course of Labor Day weekend.

At the post tournament awards presentation, DreamCricket.com co-founder Venu Palaparthi thanked the sponsors for their support of the growth of cricket in the USA, the players for the competitive spirit demonstrated throughout the weekend, Hurricane Earl for delivering a no-ball and allowing the event to continue without any weather delays, and the fans for coming out to cheer on the players and make the event whole.
Close to 1,000 fans came out to watch the event over the course of the Labor Day Weekend, twice as many as the previous year, in yet another sign that cricket is moving in the right direction in the American sports landscape. The tournament also featured former India Test player Debasis Mohanty, who has played in more than 100 first-class matches in India, Neil McGarrell, a cricketer whose resume includes 4 Tests and 17 ODIs, and Jermaine Lawson, a former West Indies Test player who recorded a Test match hat-trick against Australia in 2003.

Several other players with first-class or USA men’s or U19 national team experience also participated in the event including Neil McGarrell, Aditya Mishra, Dennis Evans, Denison Thomas, Kevin Darlington, Glen Hall, Andrew Gonsalves, Barrington Bartley, Regis Burton, Adrian Gordon, Akeem Dodson and Andy Mohammed.

Palaparthi also recognized the rest of the DreamCricket.com team involved in organizing, coordinating and running the event. They included CEO Kranthi Bayya, Co-founder Mahender Bohra, Ground Logistics Coordinator Pirasanna Venugopal, Rules and Umpires Coordinator Gokul Chakravarthy, PR Liaison Sangeetha Subramanian, Media Liaison Peter Della Penna and core organization committee members - Srinath Chakravarthy and Sri Garimella.

Venu Myneni presented the championship trophy to Global NJ Daredevils captain Neil McGarrell and a first place check of $5000 to Global NJ Daredevils manager Jaideep Reddy. Bedessee NY Destroyers captain Barrington Bartley led his team up to receive runner-up medals while Chubb Bedessee, whose company Bedessee Sporting Goods sponsored the NY Destroyers, accepted a runner-up check of $2000 on behalf of his team.

Man of the Match awards were presented to players for standout performances from each of the nine games played in the tournament. In addition to the award, each player received a new SG cricket bat courtesy of equipment sponsor SG. The tournament was played with the top-quality SG Test ball in recognition of the equipment sponsorship.

CEERA Investments Man of the Match: Keith Hibbert, Global NJ Daredevils – Scored 63 and completed three dismissals in a win over the Gentlemen of Philadelphia
VedicSoft Man of the Match: Sheldon Smith, New England Pioneers – Took 4 for 15 in a win over the Gentlemen of Philadelphia
Collabera Man of the Match: Kumar Nandlal, Global NJ Daredevils – Returned figures of 0-8 in four overs and scored 40 runs in a win over the New England Pioneers
Group B Matches
Paradise Biryani Pointe Man of the Match: Andrew Gonsalves, Bedessee NY Destroyers – Scored 46 in a win over the Atlantic All-Stars
NIIT Technologies Man of the Match: Andrew Gonsalves, Bedessee NY Destroyers – Scored 46 not out in a win over the Washington Senators
VedicSoft Man of the Match – Srinivasa Santhanam, Atlantic All-Stars – Scored 74 in a win over the Washinton Senators

Awards were also presented to players based on the Impact Index formula for their overall performance in the tournament. The winners included:
DreamCricket.com Most Impactful Player of the Tournament: Aditya Mishra, Global NJ Daredevils – Took 11 wickets for 27 runs in three matches for the tournament champions
SG Most Impactful Batsman of the Tournament: Neil McGarrell, Global NJ Daredevils – Scored 72 runs, including five fours and five sixes in three innings, without being dismissed in the event for the tournament champions
EBC Radio Most Impactful Bowler of the Tournament: Kevin Darlington, Bedessee NY Destroyers – Took 3 for 29 with one maiden in eight overs for the tournament runner-up
Collabera Most Impactful Wicketkeeper of the Tournament: Keith Hibbert, Global NJ Daredevils – Scored 64 runs and had three dismissals in two matches for the tournament champions
Two other awards were handed out to recognize the best of the up and coming talent involved in the tournament. One of the playing conditions of the Radiant Info USA Twenty20 2010 was that each team had to field a minimum of two U-19 players in their playing XI for every match to encourage young players. The players recognized were:
